The Sedgwick Theatre has a fixed grid accessed by ladders and a single phase system. The Master Electrician must be proficient in electricity and electrical safety, they must have the following:
Must be self-directed, be able to complete tasks within deadlines with a positive attitude and a team effort. The ME will work with the Production Manager and Lighting Designer to help implement the lighting design in a safe and timely manner.
Strong ability to read, understand, and implement a light plot (provided in vectorworks), channel hook-up, and instrument schedule (provided in lightwright) including but not limited to: creating a shop order, networking, circuiting, cabling, hang, focus, and updating the paperwork with circuiting information for focus
Ability to program the ETC Ion XE
Strong knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot conventional lights, movers, LEDs, networking, and Dimmer Doubling
Must be comfortable with heights and working on a ladder carrying 30 lbs
Applicants must be fully vaccinated against covid-19. Booster shots are NOT required, but they are recommended should you wish to obtain a booster shot.
