Food Tour Guide

Are you a foodie? Love showing people around Philly? We're looking for a Tour Guide to join our team with some weekday availability (1pm-4pm). Not all weekdays are required; we add tours to your schedule based on your availability, so only a few days a week would be fine with us! You get scheduled based on your availability.

What do Food Tour Guides do? You'll walk tour groups (usually between 6-15 guests) to a number of food stops for them to sample food while sharing Philly's historic culture with them. A script is provided and must be memorized during the training process.

Compensation starts at $30 per tour plus tips, with opportunities to have pay increased based on positive reviews from guests. There is an opening for a Tour Guide with weekday availability (1pm-4pm).

Qualifications:

1. Friendly demeanor who is personable and charismatic
2. Good communication and strong customer service experience
3. Ability to memorize a script and speak to large groups
4. Consistent weekend availability
5. Ability to walk/be on feet for 3 hours at a time
6. Has lived in the Philadelphia area for at least 4 years
7. Loves food

Two Methods to Apply:

2. Describe your experience speaking to others/the public.
3. Mention any tours you have been on or given (doesn't have to be just in Philadelphia).
4. Why are you interested in becoming a tour guide?
5. What's your favorite food vendor/restaurant in Philadelphia?
