Reports to: Lighting Supervisor and Audio Supervisor

About The Position

The Electrician supports the Lighting/Sound/Video departments and serves as A2 and run crew for all productions. The Electrician’s responsibilities include hangs, focuses, troubleshooting, wiring practicals, programming, strike, changeovers, and maintenance/organization when preparing for a production.

As Deck Audio (A2) the Electrician will work with the Sound Design team and DTC Staff to implement Sound Design. A2 will perform all duties typically required to a Deck Audio (A2) of a theatrical production including, but not limited to:

  • Assist with Shop Pull, as necessary
  • Assist A1 with load-in and setup of equipment
  • Assist with setup and mic-ing of band and actors
  • Assist A1 and Sound Designer with tuning of the system
  • Prep and maintain wireless microphones for each production
  • Be on deck for all performances to maintain equipment and troubleshoot issue
