The Media Theatre in MEDIA, PA is seeking submissions for Directors, Stage Managers, Choreographers and Music Directors for their 2024- 2025 Education Department season. Please see the breakdown below for information. Local housing is not provided. The deadline to apply is Sunday September 29th. Seeking experienced and dynamic Directors, Choreographers, Stage Managers and Music Directors who have worked with children previously and are comfortable leading a rehearsal of up to 35 children. The Media Theatre requires all applicants to have their PA and Federal clearances up to date.

The Youth Ensemble Series at The Media Theatre is a brand new, refreshed program that began in 2020 and is excited to return again this fall. Performed entirely by youth actors ages 6 - 18, this series provides an opportunity for those involved to work with professional production staff, while presenting a quality product to audiences in Delaware County. The Youth Ensemble Series rehearses weeknights for three hours (generally 4:30-7:30 PM) from Monday - Friday. Occasional Saturday daytime rehearsals as well (generally 11:00 AM- 4:00 PM). The rehearsal process is designed to be expedient, with a total of around ~20 rehearsal hours or 9/10 rehearsal days. Compensation is a stipend payment aligning with experience and hours of rehearsal. Performances are Saturdays and Sundays at 11:00am. Directors and Choreographers are not required to attend performances. Music Directors have the opportunity to play for the shows and auditions but it is not required.


Wizard of Oz, Youth Edition

All dates are tentative and subject to change based on Production Staff, Theatre and Student availability

We are currently seeking a choreographer, stage manager, and music director for this production

Audition Date: October 6th 6:30 PM, Callback Date: October 13th 6:30 PM

Rehearsals: Monday- Saturday 4:30 PM- 7:00 PM  (Monday, November 25th - Thursday, December 12th)

Performances: Saturdays and Sundays in December starting December 14th at 11:00 AM and Friday December 13th at 10:00 AM.

Honk Jr.

We are currently seeking a director, choreographer, stage manager, and music director for this production

Rehearsals: Monday- Friday 4:30 PM- 7:00 PM and Saturdays 11:00 AM- 4:00 PM (Feb. 17th - March 7th)

Performances: Saturdays and Sundays  March 8th- March 23rd 11:00 AM and Friday March 15th at 10:00 AM

Alice in Wonderland Jr.

Performances: Saturdays and Sundays May 10th - May 25th 11:00 AM

Based on the 1951 Disney film Alice in Wonderland and the novels The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll
