We are seeking a theatre educator to help lead our student run Curiositeens program. This Barrymore Award winning, free program is beginning it’s 11th year and serves students ages 12-18. Our ideal candidate has experience working in theatre education, preferably with middle-school/high school students. This position requires more facilitation than teaching, as the program is very student led. Students meet most Saturdays from 10 am – 12 pm. For the first part of the year students play theatre games and do various ensemble building activities as they work towards brainstorming for their final product, a fully mounted production in June 2025. If hired, our Curiositeens leader will begin the year facilitating theatre activities/brainstorming sessions and then take on more of a directorial role as the school year progresses and real rehearsals begin. Current child abuse clearances are required. We are looking for a candidate who can begin working with Curiositeens on Saturday, November 9th, 2024.
