The Media Theatre

The Media Theatre is seeking a part time Bookkeeper.

The Bookkeeper is responsible for providing effective and efficient bookkeeping operations in accordance with current standards for non-profit organizations. Expected hours 20-25 hours per week. Provides the Theatre’s current Senior staff and Board of Directors with efficient professional services that include:

-Ensures accurate, complete, and timely receipt of revenues (earned and unearned)

-Receives, evaluates, and processes all requests for payment

-Receives, evaluates, and processes all vendor invoices

-Ensures accurate, complete, and timely disbursements from the theater company

-Payroll processing (via HEARTLAND)

-Maintains the theatre’s financials in a state of readiness for annual audit by ensuring proper bookkeeping entries and maintaining a proper audit trail of all fiscal data/information (via QUICKBOOKS)

-Primary responsibility for the full accounting cycle: Posting to the General Ledger, running trial balances, etc

-QuickBooks expertise a must

-Keeps all fiscal records of the theatre

-Ensures that these records are accurate, complete, and readily available for use in the conducting of its business

-Maintains petty cash and concession cash upkeep and totals

-Completes weekly bank deposits and withdrawals, manages deposits on interest payments

-Manages financial portion of Equity Contracts, including health and pension, performer dues, and per diem

-Performs other fiscal tasks as requested by the Management
