Audition - The Boy Bands Have Won

The Hum'n'Bards

Post Date: May 9, 2024

The Hum’n’bards are hosting auditions for our theatrical album adaptation of Chumbawamba’s “The Boy Band Have Won,” slated to run during Philadelphia’s Fringe Festival. Auditions will be held at The Whole Shebang (1813 South 11th Street. Rear Entrance) on Saturday May 25th between 2:30-4:30pm. The show will take place upstairs at Rosy's Taco Bar East on September 6, 7 and 8th.

All cast and crew for this production will be required to show proof of vaccination in order to participate, including keeping up-to-date with available boosters. For performances, all audience members will be required to wear masks.

Auditioners will be asked to present a song either a capella or self-accompanied, our leading artist will have an acoustic guitar on hand if quick & simple accompaniment is needed. Staff will be masked at all times, auditioners are welcome to perform without masking if they choose. Songs should be similar in style to the album, leaning toward the folk and protest song traditions of Phil Ochs, Dave Van Ronk, CSNY, and, naturally, Chumbawamba.
