Renaissance Music Theatre Company is accepting video submissions for their SPRING 2025 production of the Marsha Norman and Lucy Simon Musical THE SECRET GARDEN. The show will run from May 16, 2025 to May 24, 2025 - Total of Six (6) performances at the PLAYS AND PLAYERS THEATER, SKINNER STUDIO, PHILADELPHIA, PA.
VIDEO SUBMISSIONS for the following roles are being accepted:
MARY LENNOX: Female: a ten-year-old girl sent to live with her uncle, Archibald in India. Quite the curious explorer, and often finding herself in trouble. Stubborn and always fighting for what she believes in.
COLIN CRAVEN: Male: Archibald's ten year-old son. Spent his life in bed due to a heart condition. He is very stubborn and throws temper tantrums to get what he wants. He believes his father hates him for causing Lily’s death.
DICKON: Male: Martha's brother. Looks after sick animals and plants. He is a young man with the imagination of a child and the reasoning of an adult. Vocal range: Tenor.
Please prepare and submit 32 measures of a song that bests shows your vocal range. Songs must be in the style of the musical. Songs from the musical will be accepted for this audition. NO ACAPELLA submissions will be accepted. Prepare a two minute (2 minute) dramatic monologue that best displays character development for the role you are auditioning for.
