Act II Playhouse, the professional, non-profit theatre in the heart of bustling Ambler PA, is hiring our next Audience Services Manager.


The Audience Services Manager holds ultimate responsibility for all patron services and the operation of Act II’s Box Office. The position requires organization, strong communication skills, excellent customer service skills, flexibility, and the ability to think creatively in the process of serving our patrons.

Duties:

  • Oversee all day-to-day front of house operations
  • Supervise the Box Office staff (currently 2 part-time Audience Services Associates and 2 part-time House Managers)
  • Coordinate scheduling and managing of all box office and house management shifts (some of which are filled by the Audience Services Manager in addition to the Box Office staff), and all volunteer ushers
  • Perform and/or supervise all box office transactions, including ticket sales, exchanges, group sales, subscriptions, gift certificates, and donations made with such transactions
  • Complete and/or supervise Daily Box Office Sales Reports, daily Box Office Report of subscription and current-show single ticket sales, and the daily box office cash draw count out and settlement
  • Build all seasons, productions, one-night events, classes, subscriptions, etc. in the Patron Manager CRM system
  • Intercept, screen, and organize all incoming correspondence, via phone, email, mail and walk-in business, as well as maintain an organized file system of all correspondence and documents
  • Complete other duties as assigned
  • This is a full-time, 35-hour per week position requiring some evening and/or weekend shifts. Most work days are in-person at The Playhouse with occasional remote work opportunity.
  • Report to the Director of Finance and Operations

     

Qualifications:

  • Box office and/or box office management experience preferred
  • 3 to 5 years retail and/or administrative experience, preferably working with the general public
  • Professional demeanor with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organizational skills with an attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a small organization
  • Knowledge of G-Suite, Windows, Office, etc.
  • Experience with a CRM system needed; Salesforce/Patron Manager preferred
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a dynamic, creative environment

Salary Range: $35,000 - $38,000
