South Camden Theatre Company (SCTC), located at the Waterfront South Theater, is searching for an Electrician/Assistant Lighting Designer for our upcoming production of Lettice & Lovage who would become our Lighting Designer for our future productions (upcoming: Stop Kiss in June 2023, Alabama Story in September 2023, and Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime in November 2023). Pertinent dates & duties of these roles are below:

Lettice & Lovage Dates:

TBD - Hang & Focus

Tues, April 4th - Dry Tech, 7-10pm

Thurs, April 6th - Q2Q, 7-10pm

Fri, April 7th - Q2Q, 7-10pm

Saturday, April 8th - Tech/Run, 10am - 6pm

Tues April 11th - Thurs April 13th - Dress Rehearsals 

Electrician/Assistant Lighting Designer:

  • Being present in late March/early April for lighting load in, hang, focus & programming. Dates & times would fall on weeknights/weekends per individual's availability. 
  • Being present for all dry tech & cue-to-cue dates
  • Being present for all/most dress rehearsals 
  • Learning the lighting system from our current in-house lighting designer/technical director
  • Assisting our current lighting designer with the upkeep of the lighting plot & in-house equipment storage
  • Familiarity with ETC ION console on MAC is necessary
  • Familiarity with QLab on MAC is highly preferred

Lighting Designer:

  • Presence for all production meetings (typically 2 per production)
  • Design & creation of lighting plot
  • Awareness of in-house stock and handling rentals of any additional necessary equipment 
  • Hang, focus & program prior to the beginning of tech rehearsals with an assistant.
  • Present for all tech & dress rehearsals for cue programming & handling notes


    Dates for future productions to be determined.
