We are looking for adult actors and actress' who are energetic and eager to perform for and work with kids to play the adult roles in our TYA production of Junie B Jones in January of 2025.
Synopsis: It’s Junie B.’s first day of first grade, and a lot of things have changed for her: Junie’s friend, Lucille, doesn’t want to be her best pal anymore and, on the bus, Junie B. makes friends with Herb, the new kid at school. Also, Junie has trouble reading the blackboard and her teacher, Mr. Scary, thinks she may need glasses. Throw in a friendly cafeteria lady, a kickball tournament and a “Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal,” and first grade has never been more exciting.
Rehearsal schedule:
Wednesdays from 6:00-9:00 pm & Sundays from 1:30-5:30 pm. Performers will only be called to rehearsal when needed.

December 8th, 11th, 15th, 18th, 22nd & 29th

January 5th – 1:30-6:00 pm
January 6th, 7th & 8th – 5:30-10:00 pm

All performers must be in 6th grade or above.
The roles of Mrs. Gutzman, Daddy, Mother & Mr. Scary will be played by adults. Adult actors will receive a stipend of $150
Auditions:
Wednesday, September 4th; 4:30 pm – 9:00 pm
Please prepare a short 1–2-minute comic monologue and 32 measures of a song that demonstrates your vocal range and ability to interpret a song. Feel free to sing from the show if you would like. An accompanist will be provided.
